Alltel is a telecommunications company that provides various services like wireless, local telephone, Internet and broadband service to customers. Alltel is the largest regional mobile phone company in the U.S., and the fifth largest mobile phone company overall. Alltel is a product of Allied telephone co. and Mid-Continent Telephone. These two companies merged to form Alltel. Like other companies, Alltel has made provision for itŐs users to download ringtones that have been uploaded on their Web site. Ringtones can be downloaded as per the compatibility of the phone. The newer phones have features that allow users to compose their own tones. There are many new version of ringtones, often called either real sound ringtones, music ringtones, voice tones, mastertones, realtones, singtones or true tones, that now use the Pulse-code modulation encoding of the real sound. The real sounds can be actual pieces of music, along with the vocals and all the instruments used to record the song.
